Sawyer Smith

Candidate for PhD in Pathobiology

Graduate of the University of Idaho with a B.S. in Medical Sciences and a minor in Public Health. Prior to starting her Ph.D., she furthered her research experience as a Research Associate at Brown University and completed an IRTA Research Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Currently, she is working on plasmodium falciparum drug resistance in Uganda as she formulates her ultimate dissertation plan.

In her free time she is an avid CrossFitter and a competitive powerlifter.
